Allen Henry is a well-known American Broadcast Journalist, Anchor, and Reporter who is presently employed at Fox 45 in the capacity of a reporter.
He was a charter member of the Troy High School broadcast club, which developed into a full-fledged class in recent years. Allen is also a graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, where he majored in Broadcast Journalism with a concentration in Sociology and Political Science. In addition, Allen is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists.
Allen had the opportunity to work as an assistant for the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire in Washington, D.C. while he was a student at the University of Oklahoma. His responsibilities included covering the White House, Congress, and the National Spelling Bee.

During his time there, Allen was involved in several important stories, such as the 50th anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery march, the state’s takeover of Montgomery Public Schools, and several investigations with the 12 News Defenders, during which he assisted a man in recouping a large number of dollars from the assessment discount he had received.
At that time, Allen uprooted his life and moved to New Orleans, where he now works as a morning columnist for WVUE Fox 8 in the Big Easy. Allen was live on the air every morning, covering breaking news from the overnight and early morning hours of the day, and he was a big part of the reason why Fox 8 Morning Edition became New Orleans’ number one choice for news in the focused market.
A few highlights from Allen’s time spent in New Orleans were his coverage of Tropical Storm Cindy, the flooding that occurred on August 5 and the subsequent fury that was directed toward the Sewerage and Water Board, and, of course, Mardi Gras.
Allen enjoys going to Cedar Point and Kings Island in his spare time. He also enjoys exploring new places to eat and drink, going on adventures, and playing tabletop games with a lot of intensity.
