She participated in the 21st Century program at Olathe North High School, which was centered on the field of geoscience, while she was a student there during her senior year of high school. She will be representing the class of 2016 as the Homecoming Princess after being crowned by her peers. Alyssa has been a Girl Scout for ten years, but she continues to be involved with the organization by helping and advising younger girls. After obtaining her Silver Award in 2012, she has now set her sights on the Gold Award, which is the highest distinction that can be earned in Girl Scouts, and she is working toward achieving this goal.
She has volunteered her time to help children who are a part of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, collaborated with Kansas City Fashion Week to help raise money for CureSearch, and served as the Grand Marshall for the Macy’s Holiday Parade that took place at Universal Studios in Orlando. She has offered her time for Angel Babies and a variety of other events for children, and she has even crafted something special.
