In 2009, Ariana competed in the television series So You Think You Can Dance and made it into the top 20 of the competition. This was the beginning of her career as a dancer. After that, she booked the role of Nautica in the 2011 production of Bring It On at the Alliance Theatre.

She was recognized with a nomination for the Tony Award in 2018 for Outstanding Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical.
