Bob Beckel born Robert Gilliland Beckel is a political analyst and pundit in the United States of America. He is also a former political operative. Bob is well-known in the media thanks to his time spent working as an analyst and pundit for Fox News. Earlier in his career, he had worked for Fox News as a commentator. Bob co-hosted “The Five” up until 2015 when he was finally let go after missing a number of episodes for a period of time due to his recovery from back surgery. 2015 saw Bob’s exit from Fox News.
He eventually started working as an analyst for CNN. On the 16th of January, 2017. He rejoined Fox News and is now working as a co-host of the show The Five. Fox News made the announcement on May 19, 2017, that Bob had been let go once more as a consequence of making a racial statement directed at another member of the Fox News staff. On February 19, 2018, he presented the first episode of a podcast that he called “Beckel’s Bob Cast.”

At a reception for Fox News in October 2011, Bob came dangerously close to choking to death after eating a piece of shrimp. However, Fox News chairman Roger Ailes and The Five co-host Eric Bolling were able to save his life.
It was speculated that Bob had been fired after he was absent from The Five for a number of weeks in the beginning of 2015; however, Fox later announced that his absence was due to “health-related issues,” and it was later revealed that he had major back surgery on March 26 at a hospital located in the New York area.
