Jeh Jeh Pruitt WBRC FOX 6 News
While still a student, Pruitt began his career in television by working as an intern for WBRC FOX6 News. He did this while he was still in school. After completing his education, Jeh relocated to the west coast, where he currently works as an overall task columnist for KWES-TV in Midland, Texas.
Before coming back to Birmingham and starting work at WBRC FOX6 News in April of 1996, he spent the previous eight months working in the “Solitary Star State.”
Even though his first responsibility was to shoot pictures for the news, Jeh started spilling the beans after only six months. He improved his skills while working at the Anniston Bureau of WBRC; however, in January of 1997, Jeh was transferred to the Magic City to manage the Good Day Alabama program.
Every morning at the beginning of the workday, Jeh can be seen giving an account of anything from the most recent exercise craze to the most recent news developments. Jeh’s life has always included participation in a variety of athletic endeavors.
He was a member of the team that won the Division II National Championship in 1992. Currently, he works with the WBRC FOX6 Sports Team on FOX6 Sideline, which allows him to satisfy his need for game coverage.
In addition, he gives back to the community by working with children, giving speeches at schools, and guiding tourists. In addition to that, he hosts events for organizations and associations that are dedicated to charitable work.
Both Jeh and his better half Kerri were involved in the establishment of The Dannon Project, which received its status as a non-profit organization in October of 2003.
It was established with the intention of assisting individuals who are going through significant transitions, in particular those with addictions who are on the path to recovery, the unemployed, the underemployed, youth and adults who are in danger, regardless of gender, and explicitly peaceful wrongdoers who are returning to society.
In addition, he is involved with the Alabama Organ Center, where he encourages others to participate in organ donation awareness and fund-raising efforts. The most affectionate person in Jeh and Kerri’s lives is their daughter Jehme. Jeh and Kerri have one daughter together.
Because of his never-ending enthusiasm for the job, his commitment to the community, and the high standards he sets for those closest to him, Jeh Pruitt is considered to be one of the best options available by both his colleagues and the people in his immediate area.
The WBRC staff is happy to have a particularly dedicated individual working in the news department as well as with various sports groups.
