Michael Benny Biography
Michael Benny is a well-known newscaster and managing editor in the United States. He serves in that capacity for the CBS 5 News at 5, 5:30, 6, and 11 o’clock each night. Before he started working at CNY Central in 2000, he spent the previous year as the morning anchor at WBNG-TV in Binghamton, New York. In 2001, the Syracuse Press Club chose to recognize him by bestowing him the Newcomer of the Year Award.

The CBS affiliate WTVH-CBS 5 was decimated on March 2, 2009, when the station’s owner merged the station with WSTM-NBC 3 and WSTQ-CW 6, which was WSTM’s sister station.
