Rick Katzfey is an American journalist working as a meteorologist for FOX 24 News. He is married to Donna and the couple has three kids; Mackenzie, Nicholas, and Carson. They also have their baby granddaughter, Kennedy.

Over the course of more than 50 years, Rick has kept a watchful eye (both professionally and otherwise) on the weather.
Rick’s interest in weather and climate began when he was just 5 years old.
When I was 12, I was helping my parents and other people make decisions about the weather.
I had to rely on reading the mists since back then there wasn’t much technology available, so I could only do that.
When Rick was only 14 years old, he began his career as a public servant by providing precipitation totals to a nearby Kansas radio program.
Rick began keeping a daily journal of the weather conditions for the Hesper people group in Kansas when he was 14 years old and continued doing so until he was 21 years old.
Rick has tracked a variety of storms and recorded a few cyclones, nonetheless, coming surprisingly close to being in the path of one damaging twister.
Outstanding Achievement in a Weathercast earned Rick the prestigious Emmy Award, the highest prize that can be bestowed in the field of television journalism.
The Kansas City Press Club just just bestowed upon him the Heart of America Award for 2014 at its annual ceremony.
Rick had the honor of meeting both the President and Vice President of the United States in the White House, together with one hundred of the country’s most prominent meteorologists, to discuss environmental concerns.
