The casting announcement for the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race included Bryan as one of the nine participants (2009). During the third show, she and another participant named Akashia were both eliminated from the competition. She triumphed over her in a lip-syncing competition set to Whitney Houston’s “The Greatest Love of All.” During the lip sync, Bryan is credited with having performed the show’s first ever “wig reveal.” Later on, she was eliminated in the sixth episode after failing her lip sync to “Shackles (Praise You)” by Mary Mary against Rebecca Glasscock. The first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars aired in 2012, and it was confirmed that Bryan will be one of the twelve returning participants for the new season.
