T J Cline is an American-Israeli professional basketball player who currently plays for Hapoel Holon of the Israeli Premier League. His birth name is Timothy Joseph Cline. A hybrid power forward/center position.

Cline attended the University of Richmond, where he participated in collegiate basketball. Cline is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame thanks to his mother, Nancy Lieberman, who played the game.

After participating in basketball at Plano West Senior High School for three years as a member of the junior varsity team, Cline made significant improvements to his game and began his senior year, during which he was recognized as the offensive player of the year for the conference. Cline was successful in securing a scholarship to attend Niagara University on the NCAA Division I level.

As a first-year player, he was selected to the all-rookie squad for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Cline decided to transfer to Richmond after former coach Joe Mihalich departed Niagara to take a job at Hofstra.

Cline made a name for himself as a shooter during his time at Richmond. He had an average of 18.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game during his senior season of basketball. Cline is notable for his ability as a passer, as he recorded 5.7 assists per game, which is exceptional for a player of his size. Cline became the second player for the Spiders to be honored with the title of Atlantic 10 Player of the Year at the conclusion of the year.

Cline completed his career at Richmond ranked eighth all-time in points scored and seventh all-time in assists, despite the fact that he only played for the Spiders for three seasons.

On August 6, 2017, Cline secured a contract to play for the Galatasaray team in Turkey during the 2017–18 season. After making an appearance in five games for Galatasaray, he parted company with the club on November 15, 2017.

On November 15, 2017, Cline signed a contract with the Israeli club Hapoel Holon for a period of two years. Cline was granted Israeli citizenship on November 23, 2017, and subsequently obtained a passport. Cline and his team, Holon, were victorious in the final game of the competition, which took place on February 15, 2018, and ended with an 86–84 victory over the perpetual cup holders, Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

On March 4, 2018, Cline scored a season-high 16 points, shot 7-for-8 from the field, and added four rebounds and two assists in a 105–88 victory over Maccabi Ashdod. This performance set a new personal best for Cline. Cline was an integral part of Holon’s run to the 2018 Israeli League Championship, which they ultimately fell short of winning to Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Cline signed with the Milwaukee Bucks on July 2, 2018, so that he could participate in the 2018 NBA Summer League. During that tournament, he played for an average of 14 minutes per game and recorded 3.2 points and 4 rebounds.

In a game against Hapoel Be’er Sheva on October 26, 2018, Cline achieved a career-high 17 points, shooting 7-of-10 from the field to go along with seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals in a victory that ended with a score of 72–70.

A member of the Israeli national basketball squad is a player by the name of T.J. Cline. Cline made his debut with the Israeli team on February 21, 2019, scoring 14 points and grabbing five rebounds in the team’s 81–77 victory over Germany. This was Cline’s first game with the Israeli squad.
