Tessa Nadeau is a journalist from the United States who currently works at KTMF ABC FOX News as a reporter. May of 2020 marked the month that she received her Magna cum laude from the University of Montana. During her time as a member of the University of Miami Spirit Squad, she was a cheerleader for four years and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism as well as a minor in Media Arts.
Because she would fill her mother in on everything that was going on around their neighborhood when she was just a child, her mother gave her the nickname “the local columnist.”
That may be considered nosy by some, but Tessa made full use of her abilities throughout school, and as a result, she was awarded a number of distinctions, including three Northwest Emmy, Student Production Awards.
One of the awards was given for a piece that focused on June Eastwood, a sprinter for the University of Montana who is the most prominent transgender competitor in Division 1 cross-country. Another story on the ROTC program at the University of Miami was given prominent placement.

Nadeau joins ABC/Fox Montana as a full-time correspondent. Tessa was one of the three finalists for the Society of Professional Journalists’ Region 12 Mark of Excellence Awards. Additionally, the University of Missouri’s Journalism School recognized her as the Outstanding Student of the Year and awarded her three awards and two honors during her time there.
She worked as an assistant at a news station in Missoula during the late spring before her senior year of high school. There, she dove deeper into the world of journalism and gained invaluable experience. It was at this point that she came to the conclusion that she needed to pursue detailing as a profession full-time.
Tessa worked for the school’s news station, UM News, for the entirety of her time as a student, securing, delivering, and announcing stories. During the second to last semester of her senior year, she also participated in a class that required her to make public service announcements for Montana PBS three times per week. She began filing reports from her house using a rig that was improvised for the purpose shortly after the epidemic broke out.
Despite the fact that her time at school was cut short because to the COVID-19 outbreak, she is undeniably thankful that she will be able to continue living in Missoula and pursue her dreams of working as a journalist for ABC and Fox Montana.
